Walterscheidt in Cologne

I had ordered 6 servings of game goulash a week in advance. When I was picked up, I was told that there were only 4 servings. I should just mix "with something else" to get 6 servings. I was offered lamb goulash with green beans and veal cheeks. Unfortunately, I didn't have a plan B and the corona line on the street behind me was getting longer and longer. In my desperation, I then decided to stretch with lamb goulash. In retrospect, I was very annoyed: I paid a lot of money for something mixed together with unclear taste and there was not even a word of apology.

Yesterday during the lockdown we received a delivery of goose (leg and breast) red cabbage, chestnuts and dumplings with sauce. We had actually made a reservation in the restaurant to eat there, but that's not possible. The boss has offered to deliver both at noon or in the evening at 6 p.m. She does this during the breakwater lockdown for anyone who wants geese or another meal for lunch or dinner. Just drop by at Waltherscheid or call and order. And we can only rave about it. It was not only a very nice service that brought us the lamb's lettuce served on the plate, but also the bigger one and everything else warm in cities. We quickly browned the goose according to the recommendation and made the skin crispy in the oven and a fantastic menu was ready. The salad up front was really tasty and very plentiful! The red cabbage and chestnuts were fantastic, the size exactly as they should be and the goose tender and tasty like everything. So not just a good tip, but definitely recommended for anyone who likes to eat goose and who would like to be pampered during the lockdown.

Great bistro in the backyard. The food tastes as if "Mama" or "Grandma" had been in the kitchen. Nice service, great wines. Highly recommended for lunch.

Quaint restaurant. You sit between the wine racks and get home-style food. Many products, such as the vegetables are sold in our own fruit and vegetable shop. You can therefore count on the fact that fresh products are processed accordingly. Great wines, very friendly service. Price / performance is right.

The event with Mr. Beikircher was an impertinence concerning the lodging of the guests. Chairs were placed in the passageways, so that the operations came through only with difficulty. If panic broke out, chaos would have arisen. The public order office would have banned the event. In the future, fewer tickets should be sold. Otherwise the waiters were very friendly and attentive, the food was good and delicious. The chairs with a short backrest are extremely uncomfortable. The toilets in such an event (about 120 guests) overwhelmed.

It was very beautiful. Pleasant atmosphere. Eat good. All friendly. Prices are o.k.

I ate lunch there on Wednesday for the first time. The dish was delicious, you could sit there comfortably and the waitress was a bit stressed (was busy), but she was friendly and attentive. Will be happy to come back

A star is actually still too much. Outwardly very friendly, but if the answer to the question: "Did you enjoy your?" is not the answer that wants to hear the operation, then the discussion can begin. Loudly and gesticulating they told your colleague first of our "outrage". Criticism is not taken seriously, it is more likely to be laughed at. "To all others it tastes here." Why the good lady asks all then? Here the customer or guest is unfortunately no King in any case only as long as it tastes good. The other dish was tasty, but that was the operation rather unimportant. Due to the service, nice on the outside, but can not handle criticism, we are rather not here. You immediately feel like an uninvited guest. There are many good restaurants and bistros in Rodenkirchen. Too bad we do not want to get there due to the operation here. There certainly are other dishes that would taste better personal "me". And then please no condemnation if it does not taste as desired or miss it on the customer so mean!

Food is delicious. Staff very friendly. Sometimes it is very crowded. Nevertheless highly recommended.

Very cool carnival party, the mixture of meeting and party we really liked.

Nice and cozy. The food OK, but too salted for my taste. The price-performance ratio fits. Regular events with live music. Mail usually sits at long tables, which is typically Kölsch, which strangers may need to get used to.

We were there for a concert. Thus, it was very crowded and therefore a bit tight. Otherwise cozy atmosphere between wine shelves and paintings. Delicious food, also a small snack. Various fish dishes. Great wines in a large selection. Fleet operation. I could order a portion of bread with the wine and did not have to pay for it. The guests were older that evening.

Very friendly service seasonal, delicious, local cuisine with really good value for money. Large selection of wines for consumption and sale. I always love to be there.

Waitress was stressed - started talking to other people while taking our order. We didn't have as many glasses as people and had to ask several times.
